What our clients say ...
With decades of experience, we have successfully helped thousands of owners and their dogs to fill their full potential.
I have a gorgeous but mischievous 4 year old Patterdale Terrier called Roxie. We have had Roxie since a pup and have experienced some challenging behaviours but have been all within the house until recently. These are most of her bad behaviours.
1/ sitting on furniture without being invited
2/ pulling on the lead when walking
3/ dashing through open doors & going through before us
4/ stealing TV remotes and other items for attention usually when I am on the phone or talking to someone in my house
5/ barking at visitors and pouncing up at them when they come in the door and then won’t leave them alone
6/ barking at me when my husband goes out
I wanted some advice relating to Roxie’s behaviour. There were a number of issues that I and my husband were doing incorrectly including not giving firm, clear and consistent commands, not displaying clear pack leadership behaviour, not consistently correcting bad behaviour in the house and not correcting bad behaviour while walking Roxie on the lead.
We were given a structured training plan to correct bad behaviour. Amazingly, I found the results later that day. Roxie was staying off the furniture, not barking at me when on the phone, not stealing the TV remote and not bolting through open doors. This has made life far more enjoyable for Roxie and the family.
Roxie no longer pulls like a steam train, she is controllable and responsive to commands. We are starting to see improvements relating to on-the-lead aggression as Roxie’s confidence in our pack leadership increases.
With Sonia's help we have found most issues can be resolved and managed if you have the knowledge and skills. We just need to be consistent and confident in our approach.

Kylo is 10 months old and a German Shepherd. The issues I was having with her were
1. She’s not social with people, kids or other dogs due to all the social distancing and no one being allowed to come to our home.
2. Barking when anyone came to the front door and not letting anyone in, I’d have to put her in the bedroom if I had visitors.
3. Would listen to me only sometimes. Most of the time I was ignored by her.
4. Dragging me around the streets when out on a walk, which wasn’t pleasant.
5. My main worry was I was unsure if she was going to be an aggressive dog or not.
I was told Kylo is not an aggressive dog, that she’s just a nervous dog, well that alone was music to my ears. We worked on her training in the house first to get her full attention on me. I was given exercises to do with her in the house for a couple weeks which went well. Kylo had selective deafness too but I saw a change in Kylo straight away. She actually listens to me now.
After a week or so of leash walk training I saw a big difference when we are out walking I get a lot more eye contact from Kylo now, even though we've still got a lot of work to do, but our walks are now more enjoyable.
I feel more confident now I’m equipped with the tools, knowledge and training given me and I now know me and my girl are going to be ok.
I can not thank you enough for helping me to help change in my girl. We are now in our way to a happy sociable life together and I will be keeping you updated on every step of our journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, because you are using a long line, you need a safe space preferably a large grassy area without distractions or large objects the line could catch on e.g. trees, undergrowth, other people
The point of the exercises is to get your dog to focus on you, if you let your dog greet Dogs whenever they feel they want to, they will always want to do that. Try to find a quiet grassy area to practise the exercises. If your dog gets distracted from seeing a dog from afar, or a scent of a small animal, just use the "this way" exercise to take them away from the distraction
However, the recall exercises should be practiced often at least daily BUT for short periods of only 10 to 15 mins. Do make some time for play on a walk if possible.
We advise against treats, dogs love to know that they’ve pleased us, your dog should come back to you because you’re asking, not for a treat, as that rabbit, squirrel etc will be far more interesting than the treat in your hand/pocket.
Yes, you can use the harness if that’s what you prefer.
We recommend a minimum of 10 to 15 minutes every day, for 4 to 6 weeks, before you consider unclipping your dog from the long lead.
Try not to unclip your dog too soon, as you may have to start from the beginning again.
